I truly believe that Jesus Christ was and is God’s revelation and gift of grace to humankind that came in a particular time in history. I am deeply rooted in a Trinitarian God revealed to us in three ways - God the “Yahweh” of the Old Testament, the creator God (creator of all that we know and all that we do not know), the omnipotent God who is continually present with us. I believe in Jesus Christ as truly the revelation of God in human form that came down and dwelt among us as fully human and fully divine. I truly believe that Jesus Christ was and is the long awaited Messiah for God’s people who had traveled the journey from Egypt. I also believe that Jesus Christ was the savior of all, Jew and Gentile. I believe that Jesus was born of Mary in God’s own way (i.e., immaculate conception). I truly believe that Jesus Christ died a real death on a real cross and that in three days he emptied that cross and tomb on our behalf and that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And then finally, I believe in the indwelling presence and awesome power of God’s Holy Spirit - the sustaining grace that walks with us continually.
